NARI At The Flying Squirrels

Join NARI Central VA at the Flying Squirrels vs. Binghamton Mets on Thursday, June 17 at 7:05. Fireworks will follow the game. NARI is providing members 2 complimentary Diamond Level tickets per membership. Additional tickets may be purchased for $9 each. Use this outing as a company outing for your employees. Email the company name and number of tickets.

Universal Design Certified
Remodeler Certification

NARI Central VA is sponsoring a study group for the Universal Design Certified Remodeler Certification (UDCR). The UDCR designation promotes the highest standards of universal design and remodeling through credentialing of remodeling professionals. Certification provides the professional growth and development and enhances job opportunities, it is also a way to prove that you have the knowledge needed for the job. Consider offering the certification to a key employee. It will increase productivity and make them able to understand and anticipate a customer's needs.

Learn more about the UDCR Certification. NARI Central VA study group will be lead by Rob Wright, Cabinetry & Construction and Wayne Booze, DesignLine.

Classes will be held on 7/21, 7/28, 8/4 and 8/11
Cost is $249 with a $49 annual recertification fee

NARI Round Table Meeting

Learn from experts about three different and timely topics at our Round Table Meeting. Brian Downs, Downs & Associates, will share information on the recommended insurance coverage when working on homes that may contain lead. Richard Day, Prospect Mortgage, will give you the tools to help your customer find financing for their remodeling project. Luck Stone will share ideas on how to integrate stone and hard surfaces into your next remodeling project.

Chuk Bowles of EarthCraft Virginia shared with NARI members and guests how to renovate green by saving on energy costs. We also heard about the success of NARI's involvement in Rebuilding Together. The Leslie Shiner Job Costing Seminar was also a success. Debbie Stocks, Your Benefits Partner, shared an update on the Healthcare legislation. Thank you to Ruffin & Payne for hosting the meeting.

In our members only area, review projects that homeowners have posted, read our blog (and post a comment), post an open position with your company, see photos from events, take a survey, update your directory listing, buy an ad, send in a photo for inclusion on the homeowners' section, purchase a webpage and much much more. As our chapter grows, we may find interest in a Home Tour, or community event.
